Wotton-under-Edge is a market town in Gloucestershire, with a population of 5,627. The current average sale price is £320,354.

Attractions in the town include the remains of Kingswood Abbey. The abbey was founded in 1139 and dissolved during the sixteenth-century. All that remains of it today is the gatehouse, which is a Grade I listed building. The Ancient Ram Inn is Grade II* listed and is a former pub. It is reputed to be one of the country's most haunted hotels. St Mary the Virgin dates from the fourteenth-century and is a Grade II listed building. Newark Park in nearby Ozleworth dates from the sixteenth-century and is a Grade I listed country house. The property is managed by the National Trust, and is set in an estate of 700 acres. Owlpen Manor is also Grade I listed and dates from the Middle Ages. Wotton Hill is also owned by the National Trust and is 0.5 miles north of Wotton-under-Edge.

Schools in the area include Katharine Lady Berkeley's School, which provides secondary education and was founded in 1384. It is one of the oldest surviving schools in England.
